Can I install and use the CYD digital key on my car?

CYD Digital Key works with most mainstream models, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Land Rover, Maserati, Ferrari, Bentley, Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Buick and Chevrolet. Whether yours is supported depends on the exact model and year, so call us on 400-900-1281 with those details and our team will confirm whether installation is possible.

Do I need to open the app to drive?

No. With CYD Digital Key there is no app to open — carry your phone and the car unlocks as you walk up, then locks itself again as you walk away. You can also tap an NFC card or your phone against the sensor to lock and unlock.

Is the digital key secure? What if I lose my phone?

CYD Digital Key has layered encryption built in. Lost your phone? No need to panic — sign in to your account on any other phone and freeze the digital key with a single tap, revoking that device’s authorisation to use the car immediately. Tight protection, so a missing phone no longer puts your car at risk.

Can I drive when there is no signal outdoors?

No more worrying about coverage. Once the digital key is paired and activated, unlocking and starting the car run over local Bluetooth. Out in the countryside or down in an underground car park with no mobile signal, you can still open the doors and drive away. Cloud features such as remote start and climate pre-conditioning do need a network connection.
