Can I install and use the digital key on my car?

CYD Digital Key supports a wide range of mainstream brands, including Honda, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota. Whether your car is supported depends on the exact model and year. Call us on 400-900-1281 with your model and year, and our team will confirm whether installation is possible.

Does it still work in an underground car park with no signal?

Yes. The digital key talks to your car directly over Bluetooth and does not depend on your phone’s mobile data. In underground car parks, tunnels and other dead zones, unlocking, locking and starting all keep working. Only the features that genuinely need a network — vehicle location and remote control — pause until you are back online, then sync automatically.

Is key sharing secure?

Yes. What you share is a separate, authorised key — never your account credentials. You can set an expiry and specific permissions for each person, and revoke access at any time from the app. Every trip is traceable, and revoked keys lose vehicle access immediately.

Is the digital key secure? What if I lose my phone?

The digital key uses bank-grade encryption and mutual authentication, with key material held in your phone’s secure element where it cannot be copied or exported. If you lose your phone, sign in on another device or call support to freeze and revoke that phone’s key — the car will reject every request from it from that moment on.
